What was the context? Was it like with a friend, or like with a stranger?

Since it’s so simple to learn I am thinking about learning it just as a networking activity, since it’ll pop up eventually

    But after a year of not speaking it I’m very rusty, and the fact that I’ve been learning madarin doesn’t help, because I think I’m transposing chinese grammar onto toki pona

    I don’t speak it, but given how popular it is, I imagine someone on Earth has already run into another speaker randomly in person.

    If you’re talking online, then yeah it happens all the time.
