I have a UDMP with three networks: Main, IoT/Smart Home, and Guest. Obviously I want to keep these three subnets largely isolated from one another, but allow some traffic between them (Allow a PC on “Main” to access the Home Assistant box on “IoT”; Allow clients on “Guest” to access my media server on “Main”, etc).

Currently I only have IPv4 enabled on my UDMP, and everything’s working fine, with some firewall rules allowing the traffic I want. However, I’d like to enable IPv6 as well, but still maintain this security configuration.

I cannot find good documentation on how to enable this and configure inter-VLAN firewall rules for IPv6, especially as my ISP (Spectrum) uses dynamic IPv6 addresses so it’s possible for the addresses to change without warning. Is there a proper way to set this up, or any recommended guides for doing so?
