I recently moved to Germany, and leashed a furnished apartment for 12 months. I found out that I cannot install my own internet connection since I am apparently subleasing which I didn’t understand at first. It’s kind of a long term Airbnb situation…

Long story short I have to use the landlord’s Wi-Fi which is downstairs and god knows how many people are in this network. To overcome this, I thought about getting a router that doesn’t need a phone line or a cable line, use a sim where I have a plan for unlimited data at 200mbps for 80e/month and plug in an Ethernet on my computer.

Would that work? Has anyone tried this?
