Hi,
Looking for some advice on the relative effectiveness between the Deco X50-PoE and XE75 Pro systems. The PoE would be preferred due to ease of mounting, but keen to future proof as much as possible and the X75 reads great.
For context: we live in a stone farmhouse and half the house is separated with what used to be the old outside wall. Limited signal gets through. We are also converting an outbuilding for office use.
The plan is to run Ethernet cables to three locations in the house, Loft, Outbuilding and to the far side of the stone wall, with a port and switch at each point for PC and security cameras to be hardwired. We’ll then install an access point for each location, which between them should provide good coverage.
I don’t need lots of customization and Deco has been recommended by friends and reviews as good mid-range solution that works well.
I had planned on getting the XE75 Pro as it has the 6Ghz band, and long term could enable 2.5Gb back haul, however the units are substantial which means I’ll probably need to tuck it away hampering use.
Therefore would it actually be better to get ceiling mounted X50’s which could be mounted more centrally. I doubt i will ever need the level of bandwidth either provide, but I do want effective coverage and enable home office working for my wife and her business.
I can read the stats, but I’ve no gauge on whether there will be much of a difference!
TLDR: Would like great wifi coverage in a stone farmhouse, is there much benefit to using a AXE5400 over a AX3000.
Cheers,
