About two months ago suddenly my Internet became super slow and unreliable. After multiple calls to my provider, (smallish local company), and four different routers (the original one from before there was a problem, a new one I purchased, one I borrowed from my office a few miles away (but on the same provider, and it was working great at my office), and finally a router from the provider themselves the problem seems to have gone from wired and wireless Internet being bad, to just wifi Internet. I have excellent signal/communication to my router, but it will often completely drop internet or else get VERY slow. When I plug a computer directly into the Ethernet cable speeds are great, but anything using wireless Internet is very unreliable. Things that I/my provider have tried: Changing channels on the router

Being closer to the router (literally had my laptop touching it)

Things thought of as issues that aren’t: House materials: no metal roof, siding, walls etc. It’s a basic manufactured home with nothing like that

Walls too thick/too far from router: again because of my homes construction the walls do not even use actual sheetrock, but a thinner wall board, and when the computer touches the router it still doesn’t work.

Problem with device: all devices do the same thing

Router location: it has not changed in six years or so since I first set up Internet service in this house.

Something new/something metal near the router: there is nothing new since quite some time before the problem started.

New connected device: there have been no new devices connected for weeks before the issue started. I can see what devices are on the network and due to all the router/password changes there are actually much fewer devices connected currently. Several times I was told the problem was all a wireless printer that was causing interference, again it had been in the network for a couple years before there was a problem, and has actually been unplugged for a while now because I was tired of it being blamed when it can’t be the (at least main) problem.

If anyone has any suggestions at all I would love your input, thank you!!!
