I feel like this is the best Jeff has looked in a while. Did TK tell him this was his opportunity to put on a barn burner if he wants to be on Dynamite?
My guess is some of it is a work. I don’t think TK would put that stuff on AEW socials if it wasn’t…but then again, he’s done some weird things in the past (see: Punk).
And yeah, Jeff didn’t look too bad in that match.

I do love we’ve (not fully but a lot of the time) moved away/been moving away from the enhancement talent opening shows. I know they still happen and its usually just dark matches of course, but having the show proper open with bangers always feels better.
I haven’t watched wrestling since the early 00’s, had no clue what aew was about. It took me entirely way too long to realize this wasn’t a movie poster. I was really wondering what the title meant in reference to an angry biker pirate, and an angry Japanese man who I assumed was at the beach or a pool.
The poster looks dope, but I’m kinda sad it isn’t a beach biker pirate movie set in Japan.
Also cool to see that there are wrestlers who aren’t geared up to their gills on roids.

Yeah, roids have basically been phased out of wrestling. And the match is just starting on TBS now. The Japanese dude is about to chop the Canadian dude’s chest so hard it’s gonna look like ground beef lol.
