            Yeah, I don’t think there’s a deeper meaning to this one, just “he’s been like that since he was a kid.”

      I think it’s that he was envious of their dog and pretended that he had one too

        It’s a Psycho reference. In that, Norman Bates’ mom’s silhouette can be seen in the window, but (spoilers, I guess) turns out she’s been dead the whole time and he talks to her like she’s alive.
