under the current rules, this is a meme that i am not sure if i would be allowed to post on any other day, yet there is literally no higher quality version of this meme as it was created by me some time ago.

for this reason, this is me voicing my dissent against the moldy posts rule, including restricting them to mondays. unless presented with a very clear set of examples that we can all (or majority) agree on, i think there’s no real utility to the rule and it just makes me afraid to post an image that i find genuinely funny.

on a level of pure aesthetics, it also just has a gross feel and i don’t want to log in on mondays to the word ‘moldy’ all over my feed ☹️

@[email protected] please reconsider this rule or provide more information on the kind of content you intend on removing. i believe this choice to be contra to the spirit of 196.

good choice banning AI tho, thanks for that. 👍

One of the best memes I’ve seen in a while; wanted to comment just to appreciate that

I think it’s bad to use the post content / context text field for completely unrelated stuff though :(

Why though? The point for the field is to add something about the post itself, e.g. text about an image or something if you link to the article.
What you wrote there is an independent comment which just has nothing to do with your post.

Probably should have phrased it differently, but yeah: An independent comment about something else should not be there.

the post and the text are related. i have edited the body text to make that relationship more apparent. thank you for your feedback.
