CEO says firm will "keep doing the same stuff," at least "while I'm in charge."

There are hundreds of different alternatives varying in cost, power, and configuration. Just to name a few: Arduino, ODROID, Orange Pi.

Are you using a RPI for it’s GPIO pins or are you just using it as a small computer?

Alternatives as far as efficiency and modularity, for sure, but I’m not sure that any other boards have the same level of documentation and support.

Used thin clients are a great alternative, if you don’t need the SBC form factor or gpio.

That explains all their pro police stuff I guess. Looking for more applications of their technology.

Can you recommend some? I’ve been looking at some alternatives like n100 boards but there’s so much choice :/

What’s the use case? Recommendations will vary a little based on that as the driver maturity isn’t all in the same place.

At least he is sticking to the pre-IPO CEO talking points. It’s all reverse speak.

“while I’m involved in running the thing, I don’t expect people to see any change in how we do things.”

Ok, so things are going to change. Got it.

not-for-profit side expand by “at least a factor of 2X.”

“We are going to double production and make killer profits.”

after the Bloomberg story, Upton said he understood concerns about a potential shift in mission or a change in the pricing structure. "It’s a good thing, in that people care about us,

“If they paid more now, just wait and see what happens when optimize manufacturing costs and triple the price for customers. Suckers.”

Yeah, fuck them. They are toast.
