Not sure how I feel about this. On the one hand it’s always good to get best on best international hockey. On the other hand I kinda feel like wedging a tournament into a weekend takes the shine off somewhat?

The all star game holds zero interest for me. I’d definitely watch an international game.
Really feels like the NHL trying to cash in on what people wanted from the Olympics without having to split the take.

Looks like they also announced participation in the 2026+2030 Olympics. Color me surprised. Looks like betting on the NHL’s cynicism didn’t pay this time.
