Thanks for sharing! I’ve never played the Armored Core series but this has me wanting to check it out.
Looking pretty sick. Keeps the roots of Armored Core with lessons learned from Sekiro/Soulsbourne. Plays a little fast, but not so much that the AC doesn’t seem to have weight
I wonder if they’ve just removed the concept of turning speed completely from the game and focused solely on movement speed or if it’ll still play some role in the game.
The footage looks great though and VaatiVidya does great job with spotting and explaining some of the changes.
HYPE INTENSIFIES!
never played an AC before and was never that much into mechas, but I can’t lie, what I’m seeing of AC 6 is getting me pretty hyped, especially since it seems to borrow some aspects of the Souls which I just adore, can’t wait to see the final product !
I never played an armored core game, but with all this boosting, flying and range attacks it seems that the combat will be extremely fast paced ! I can’t wait !
I am excited for AC6, but at the same time I can’t help but see this and think that the game was “mainstream-ified.” The hard lock-on ripped directly from From’s Souls games makes me think that the game will feel very different from all the other AC games. Whether its better or worse remains to be seen.
On the positive side, the original AC games had some very unfortunate controls that make them pretty inaccessible to 99% of people interested in playing them up until like, AC4. So at least this game won’t likely have that issue.
As long as there are a shiton of mech parts and enough data to get real nerdy and crunchy with design, I’m happy as long as the gameplay loop is good
