It’s more believable for me that he’s not dead because of this. I expect he’ll remain a frozen trophy for Blackbeard and a prize for the Straw Hats to recover when they take him down. And hopefully one Chopper can save once they unfreeze him, but at the very least, I expect Luffy to be able to get at least one last conversation with Garp before he passes.
