First of at least 3 robotic lunar landing missions by Intuitive Machine as part of NASA’s Commercial Lunar Payload Services (CLPS) Program. The lunar lander, named Odysseus, will fly 6 payloads for NASA and several others for commercial companies to near Malapert A crater near the Moon’s south pole.

IM-1 mission Nova-C class lunar lander has launched on SpaceX’s Falcon 9 rocket and successfully commissioned in space by establishing a stable attitude, solar charging, and radio communications contact with the Company’s mission operations center in Houston.

IM-1 deployment scheduled for around T+48 minutes.

Methalox fueling of IM-1 finished up just before webcast started. Stage 2 quick disconnect required modification to allow for methane loading.
