I’m definitely the odd one out here. I’ve had the same $10 set that’s carried me through probably a dozen campaigns.

I don’t even have that. I use a dice app.

I did gift a metal dice set to a friend, though, so I did my part.

Same. I bought a cheap set when I began, but I’ve bought a handful of D6 dice mostly for sneak attacks. Currently, all of my dice can still fit in a 2"×2" cloth drawstring bag.

      It’s been a while since I played D&D though.

Why not rolling advantage with two d20 at once? Why playing DnD only? I needed 2d10 to play Ironsworn 10d10 for COPS, 2d6 for Dungeon World, 4d6 for Fate, 10d6 for Shadowrun, …

I’m proud of it! That huge bag is full of high level spells, sneak attacks, and brutal criticals. Way more satisfying to roll it all at once.

Thank you! I’ve heard/read the name but had never seen clips (at least of these two). I’ll have to check it out. I’ve only listened to TTRPG podcasts haven’t watched.

Critical role started ages ago. I’ve followed all of it.

If you care about good production quality you can start with campaign 2.

I love campaign 1 since you see them in their characters. It’s basically them playing their home game with cameras. Super rough around the edges.

One huge reason CR is popular is because the cast is all professional voice actors. These people become their characters. It’s fantastic.

I just checked and I have 3 sets of Shadowrun dice, so over a hundred in just 12mm d6. That’s not even counting the dungeon dice sets I’ve bought since the mid 80s.
