Back in 1994 a Fantastic Four movie was completed but never released purely so that the rights to the property could be kept (it was one of those “make a film every X years or the rights go back to the original holder” deals). But at least that movie was never intended to be released, so we’re not missing out on something that could have been good.
I feel like this is missing the mark for satire, I can imagine the same article from a real click bait ‘news’ site.
Maybe an article about how Warner Bros is spinning up a new studio dedicated just to films that will be written off?
