Developers do not share their views, ideas or statements in any way. Simple pure development.
OSS is by its very nature a political statement lol.
FOSS by its very nature is political.
And are there any large distros that say much beyond “we don’t condone bigoted behaviour”?
But I guess some people see that as a controversial statement for some reason.
Bad luck mate all development has bias. There is no escaping it. If you want the least then grab the Linux kernel and roll your own distro.
Every fucking thing have a bias, OP probably just want anyone with the same bias as him.
‘No bias’ is when ‘my bias’.
Seriously you hit the nail on the head.
I’m reminded of an hbomberguy quote: “A lot of people think politics can be a turnoff for gamers, but I’ve done research and discovered that politics is objectively fun and ALL gamers love it ALL the time. And the people who say they hate seeing them in games love them even more, they just wish they were seeing different politics.”
So basically you are looking for a Linux distro without an open source license? And probably without a license at all…?
What “political linux distributions” exist? I use debian and used Ubuntu before and don’t remember anything political about it (At least by going by the how most people perceive something as political, That is the state should do X or not Y).
I would say the FOSS software model and especially the GPL are inherently socialist.
Red Star OS comes to mind.
If somebody asks about anything , X happened in north korea is probably not a useful answer.
Good luck. Linus’ very first Linux release announcement declared it to be “free of any minix code”, so you probably should take Linux off your list entirely. Perhaps you should consider a commercial OS like Windows.
