    Ironically, it’s not even safe for those 1.2 people!

    SUVs are more likely to be crashed, because they’re bigger and heavier, and therefore more difficult to manouever and, crucially, take longer to stop.

    They’re also more likely to roll and more likely to catch fire than smaller vehicles. Also they create more air pollution and the people most exposed to that pollution are the people in the car!

    So, yeah. When, like this person, people buy an SUV to protect their children, they’re actually putting them at greater risk while also showing a casual disregard for the people around them.
