Hmm never played a breaker game, not as much as a real robot type game as I’d like. Looking at this though, especially the amphibious stuff, could be good. Anyone have experience with the previous breaker games?

I’ve only ever played GBO2 for Gundam games (gatcha sucks, but it’s easily playable without spending money).

I played Breaker 3 on Vita and had a great time. Essentially it was dynasty warriors type combat, but a little more complex, and then was a sort of looter game where you’d farm certain Gundams to get pieces you want, and trash stuff you didn’t want for more materials to upgrade things.

The story I didn’t get all the way through, but it was pretty much an excuse for you to fight things. The best parts of that game are about the absolutely ridiculous amounts of different parts and weapons you can use, along with the pretty in-depth painting, allowing you to put together all kinds of custom gundams with parts that normally wouldn’t fit together, but you can paint them up and make them look just right.

The parts had unique weapons and abilities too, so it wasn’t just about looks. It does lean more towards super robot than real robot, but it’s not trying to occupy the same space as Armored Core or Battletech, it’s a much more casually fun grind experience. there is absolutely enough variety of parts to make different kinds of Gundams, though, from different melee weapons types to a Gundam that’s bristling with guns and artillery
