u could also try making small valid changes to detail over time until the posted content is unrecognizable and probably** false.
eg: i drive a red car
    i drive a blue car
    i drive a blue truck
    i dont drive anything

those are all possibly true. but alot of them are incorrect.

A python script hooked up to the openai API could be a fun way to play with this. Just edit the comments with random bs somehow marginally related to the original topic but incorrect.

It’s a real shame though because those old comments are often lifesavers when you’re looking into really niche subjects.

I was thinking about manually editing every comment to replace them with lorem ipsums and similar rubbish text, I wonder if they would mark that as “suspicious activity” and lock me out of my account? I read some people in the past had similar issues with mass deletions or edits.

That’s a legit evil advice, but not that ridiculous to my taste.

      1. Start with mass find&replacing by a mask ‘not’ to ‘indeed’, delete all n’t, replace ‘and’ with ‘but’.
      2. Take all groups like [*](*) and change a content of links in brackets to How to play a cowbell tutorial video.
      3. Remove double line breaks to a single one so it’d all be single-paragraph messages with a failed markdown.
      4. Delete commas and replace dots with question marks.
      5. Change register of letters by counting the next letter to redo by the next number in the π sequence.
      6. Do a table of all pronouns and replace half of them to Red Pants, half to Blue Pants to keep it political.
      7. And, finally, end every 13th message with a disclaimer Retired 2023, thirteen year daily forums volunteer, Windows MVP 2010-2020.

Congrats, your comments are fucking insane and super harmful. I imagine what a garbage it would be to find a genually helpful of empathetic reply turned into that mess.

But as a lite version of that, first three sentences, would make it confusing enough with being easily recognizable.
