    Harry’s broom was bought with his funds. McGonagall just sided in the purchase (and in getting permission for a first year to join).

        I don’t think so, I’m pretty sure it was McGonagall’s present as Gryffindor hadn’t won the Quidditch Cup for several years

    I love that Hogwarts genuinely teaches the kids how the world actually works: It does not matter how good you are, only how much money you have and how well you are connected. 🦆 if other players are better flyers if you can simply have a faster broom.
