It certainly is not that we don’t have enough content to post here or interact with because this /c/ supports crosspostung. All opinions will be considered.

Also if there is any new apps to add to tge megathread or anything to remove from it do suggest that too as i don’t want to make another thread for updating it as i try as much as its possible to keep it updated https://lemmy.today/post/6716339 .

I don’t use this community, but what exactly is your intention with it?

Like I use a Lemmy app, why would I ever need to talk about it unless I’m having an issue and if I’m having an issue, I’d rather find the dev and talk to them about it.

So if you want to make the place more active, you need to have a strong reason to want to continually use and engage with it.

Oh yeah I’m just trying to provide some food for thought as to how you can get the place more active.

You need to have a clear purpose if you want to generate activity, otherwise just the mega thread would suffice many users needs for visiting.

Maybe do a weekly review on an app, like a book club almost? Get people to discuss what they like and don’t like about that weeks app.

From what I’ve seen It’s mostly been:

    • New Lemmy users trying to find an app
    • People looking for an app with specific features
    • New app announcements
    • Bigger releases and changes to existing apps

I think that content all depends on how many users and apps there are—not much you can do about that.

Maybe we could have a monthly post asking people what they want in Lemmy apps (features, ideas, likes and dislikes)? That might be a good way to bring all devs and users together to think of ways to make the ecosystem better
