We may be anonymous strangers on the internet, but we have one thing in common. We may be a world apart, but we’re here together!

Welcome to the 24 hour pledge! I’m pledging myself to not drinking today, and invite you to do the same.

Maybe you’re new to c/stopdrinking and have a hard time deciding what to do next. Maybe you’re like me and feel you need a daily commitment or maybe you’ve been sober for a long time and want to inspire others.

It doesn’t matter if you’re still hung over from a three day bender or been sober for years, if you just woke up or have already completed a sober day. For the next 24 hours, lets not drink alcohol!

Not drinking today or any other day. All of you can do this!

I almost lost everything, keeping in mind that even one drink puts me right back on a path to losing it all forever helps me, personally. Can’t/won’t do it.

Saturday, yes! Think we are planning on a drive over some beautiful mountains to wander and explore today. I woke up with the sun, refreshed and feeling mighty fine. No poisonous alcohol for day 63!

Hello! This is my first post here since quitting Reddit after the app-ocalypse. I am working on my sixth year sober! It does get easier! Wish you all strength and resolve to keep steering clear of all the lies alcohol tells us. IWNDWYT

Congrats on the first year! The first year is definitely the hardest. Getting through each season and developing coping mechanisms for the related seasonal triggers as well as just getting some scar tissue going was the most challenging. Finding alternative activities and hobbies is also quite a bit of work in the beginning but we don’t have to figure everything out in the first year.
