Among the many changes, the new rules would require batteries in consumer devices like smartphones to be easily removable and replaceable. That's far from the case today...

    It’s a good move but the main issue is the software rather than batteries.

    Force them to release an open bootloader and firmware when deprecating devices at least.

      That would be amazing! Such a great idea! Yes, at least leave the door unlocked when you abandon the building.
