Yeah I knew my PERFECTLY WORKING CV1 was pretty much dead as soon as FB bought oculus. I’d rather it sit in it’s box forever than use Facebook shit again.

Yeah I’m forever pissed at Oculus for selling to Facebook after crowdfunding. Selling out to an evil megacorp after you’ve already gone outside the system to fund via direct customer investments is scummy as fuck and permanently soured my opinion on the company. Traitor behavior, for real

Yeah, I think the founder was probably in over his head once the cofounder died. Still really sucks though especially after they got a bunch of free help from Valve as well.

Made a throwaway meta account to use my Rift, now I just don’t think about it, but do make sure every Meta app gets killed in Task Manager after I’m done using it.

Yeah, I just didn’t buy it. If they want be to buy one, they’ll remove the requirement to have a Meta account.

If you think meta can’t link your alt-accounts back to you you’re underestimating them

Got one a few years back and I’ve been getting the emails that I’ll lose my purchases if I don’t make a meta account and I won’t. Bye bye beatsaber. I’ll wait for a better inside out steamvr headset in a couple generations
