    Looks like a heat shield for a cat. You can either remove it or reattach it, although it’s likely rusted if it’s falling off.

      Ate there multiple heat shields? Because the mechanic claimed he removed the one that was causing the rattling sound I was hearing.

        Usually yeah. There’s often one around the manifold(s) and one around the cat(s). I’m not familiar with this model, but you can look at a parts diagram if you’re curious.

        Do you have any more pictures? It’s hard to tell exactly but looks like some sort of heat shield for your exhaust system. Not an immediate problem (maybe) but the best way to fix it is just to push it back in place and find some way to re-attach it. It was probably ripped out and won’t go back in exactly.

    I would say it’s a 1007 Toyota tundra 4.7L.
