Which begs the question; Why are we up to PlayStation 5 and have yet to get a kiwi bird parasailing simulator?
I feel lied to.
I’m guessing this was specifically referring to the PS1. Subsequent PlayStations no longer have this raw power.

PS1 players were too distracted to notice when the PS2 came out so they made it worse.
