That said, the Arch beginner’s guide is fantastic. If you can follow instructions, you’ll have a working system by the end. You won’t get that super customized desktop you probably saw someone post, but you’ll get a working system, and you could get that super customized desktop on pretty much any distro anyway.
And nowadays there’s also https://github.com/archlinux/archinstall which works fine for most basic setups
I’ve had friends pick up EndeavourOS pretty quickly. The last time I uninstalled it I was set up and ready to do whatever in like an hour.

Nah. Archinstall made arch mainstream. The cool kids are using NixOS now.
The cool kids use whatever distro they want, but know their distro to the package. Which is easiest to achieve by installing Arch, Gentoo etc. by hand.
