    I’m not here to argue with Seinfeld, but I don’t know about shame. It’s never your fault that you live with a mental illness - but it is your responsibility to manage that as best you can. Get the help. Do the work. Then shitpost about it.

      I’d say that’s the common stance (or close to it).

      If people don’t do it… it’s likely because of cost (/lack of support), waiting times, paperwork, transportation, unchanged material conditions, and having issues that don’t have a simple and effective treatment.

          But that’s my point, even physical healthcare is a shitshow in the US (+mental healthcare and housing are also problems outside of the US) so it should be obvious why people aren’t using it or don’t even see it as an option. And that’s just at the surface.
