Someone that enjoys playing in teams and strategizing together would be a good fit for this game. It’s very good fun with friends and decent fun with randos at the right level. If you can laugh off someone TKing the whole party and themselves by accident then you’ll have no trouble enjoying it.

How toxic is the playerbase? I had several hundreds of hours in CS:GO but found that the playerbase became increasingly toxic (team kills, vote kicks to try and ban you, sabotaging plans).

Generally if you are under Difficulty Level 6 people don’t get cheesed. If you were in my squad and you did the stupidest things that could possibly be done by accident or a bit of trolling, I can still finish a level 4 mission no problem.

A handful people have the game sound playing through their open mic (default setting) which is annoying to me.

Level 6 and up take actual coordination, so some players don’t like it if you don’t bring all the “right” stuff and kick people which is a little toxic.

By and large people are cooperative. There’s no incentive to sabotage the team anyway.

I haven’t experienced any at all. The game has its own communication system (if you’ve played DRG it’s the same idea, although not quite as good) and very rarely have I even typed a message to randoms. Very occasionally I’ve heard people on voice but they’re always pretty nice so far.
