    They can shove their safety score up their ass. I paid $70k for the car, I’ll drive it how I want to, and more importantly, when I want to.

    I won’t let my insurance get access to my driving metrics. They asked me again on renewal, offering a “discount.” I’m actually a fairly vanilla driver, I work from home, 25+ years of driving experience with no accidents and one minor speeding ticket back in like 2006. This is still my line in the sand though, nevertheless. If I go buy something on Facebook marketplace for example, and it’s in a rougher neighbourhood, I don’t think my 10 minutes of being in that area should affect my premiums. Or if I go get ice cream at midnight, because I’m craving ice cream, what’s the entire point of owning a vehicle if I can’t do that without negative consequences? Again, I paid $70 freaking thousand dollars, like go pound sand.

    Super glad I didn’t cough up extra money for FSD. Just another reason it’s a scam.
