I’m wondering because it definitely does when they are transforme, but what about before the magic/curse takes affect? Are they just normal humans until it kicks in and sets off the medallion?

    See I didn’t know because in the first book Nivellen doesn’t set it off if I remember correctly, but his house does. And he is a cursed being.
