Why not link to the original article they’re referencing? https://www.einpresswire.com/article/698511180/bill-roper-opens-a-new-hellgate
Definitely interesting though. It’s a good decision not to develop their own engine this time to focus all their resources onto the game itself. Hellgate was very rough around the edges but showed some great potential. I’m just wondering, since HanbitSoft keeps holding the rights, if they’ll have any influence over the development or even act as publisher too? Because Hellgate became pretty pay to win under them and it would be a real shame if that’s what causes yet another failure.
I had just recently looked to see if there were any community Hellgate: London servers still up, and there are.
Definitely interested in this project.
The original game was fun for a while, but got repetitive . And, of course, once the servers shut down, multiplayer was dead.
Will be interesting to see what they do with it. I just hope it’s not Hellgate: Microtransactions.
