The term AI has lost all meaning for me. A recommendation algorithm is AI nowadays?
Same. The term AI is being applied to extremely basic models. At work the other day, I was in a presentation where somebody referred to a basic regression model as AI. The term is basically just marketing at this point.

Well technically a recommendation algo can be made using AI. But that doesn’t mean it’ll be good or anything. And yes, most of it is just marketing.
