    I scanned through the article, and it’s pretty good. (The Athletic is owned by The NY Times now…and The NY Times is pretty inexpensive digitally).

    The gist is that these kids have designs of being in the NBA, but can’t jump right from HS to the league anymore. And with so much club ball out there, they think they are ready. Or they get bored with HS ball, so they can reclassify ( if they are eligible) so they do.

    But they find that at the college level, everyone on scholarship is GOOD.

    I don’t think kids are ready for that…at least most are not. The kid who reclassified early to come to Kansas was here for a month. Then left. The rumor was he was struggling with the speed of just practice with the college team. But the statement from the kid was that Lawrence just wasn’t the place for him. So he left and ended up at Gonzaga.

    I think we are rushing kids. 😕
