While everyone has their issues, I think we saw a lot of issues with Mahomes that were caused from pressing when other people don’t make the plays they should, drop balls, or have penalties. I think if half of the issues this year don’t occur ( penalties, drops, etc), we don’t see a lot of the Mahomes issues.

Lance likes o gamble a little. That hurt.

But the defensive hit and recovery for a touchdown…perfection. 🌾🌾🌾

Welcome to the B12 BYU!

I’m a day late, but I just got to watch the first half finally that I recorded last night. My thoughts:

1. Love the black out uniforms. The “War 'Hawk” is my favorite Jayhawk logo of all time. I’m not sure we would change todays Jayhawk to do something like that if a war broke out now…
2. Offense was clicking! Jalen was making plays that Bean just couldn’t do. Keeping things alive, and making a little something out of nothing.
3. Our wide receivers are getting better. And they made some ridiculous great catches.
4. These B1G refs were horrible. And I think one of them is a local guy from Kansas City area.
5. Defense looks good. Still a little work to do against the passing game…but they did their job well.
6. I hope coach is able to get those targeting calls challenged, and our guys play the first half next week. and lastly…
7. I know…We are Kansas, and we have to prove more than just a few games. But man…the play by play and color guy…come on ESPN. Step it up!

Fantastic game. As a Jayhawk, I’m looking forward to Colorado coming home to the Big 12.

We will take our one vote for now. But expect more soon. #rockchalk

I don’t UCONN will get an invite the Big12. The rumor is that ESPN will pay up for adding additional schools past Colorado and one more. But Fox won’t unless those schools are Oregon and Washington.

So I think it will be AZ and then we see if OU and WA want to come play.

I do believe that streaming is going to eventually be the answer for everyone. It won’t be long and ESPN will be streaming their main channels to people for a few…without cable. And I’m looking forward to that.

But right now, while in an arms race, that is not what the PAC 12 wants to hear.

I’m not sure can assume that UofO will wait for B1G. The rumors looked like Oregon could be the one to jump.

Nothing in realignment is forever.

I would love to have CO back home where they belong. (KS fan…Big8).

I think if they announce, at least one more school will also announce quickly.

The PAC12 could survive 1 school leaving. But 2….turn out the lights, party over.

I hope he is ok. Basketball becomes unimportant very quickly.

I scanned through the article, and it’s pretty good. (The Athletic is owned by The NY Times now…and The NY Times is pretty inexpensive digitally).

The gist is that these kids have designs of being in the NBA, but can’t jump right from HS to the league anymore. And with so much club ball out there, they think they are ready. Or they get bored with HS ball, so they can reclassify ( if they are eligible) so they do.

But they find that at the college level, everyone on scholarship is GOOD.

I don’t think kids are ready for that…at least most are not. The kid who reclassified early to come to Kansas was here for a month. Then left. The rumor was he was struggling with the speed of just practice with the college team. But the statement from the kid was that Lawrence just wasn’t the place for him. So he left and ended up at Gonzaga.

I think we are rushing kids. 😕

Yeah, I’m not sure what the scoop is here. He was apparently a walk on with little to know playing time. He had to know this would end badly. I just hope it is not the first effect of some other issue within the program.

Sure. Why not? It just a color.

I told my daughter about this today. She lives in Denver, and is thinking about going back to school to be a teacher.

This is the perfect meal for the start of the season!

I love seeing my Jayhawks out of the basement. I’m hoping we exceed some expectations this year.
