Prime Minister Anthony Albanese says the Australian government is demanding “full accountability” with a request for a call-in from the Israeli ambassador over the death of Australian aid worker Lalzawmi Frankcom in what her employers described as a “targeted” Israeli airstrike in Gaza.

“We want full accountability for this, this is a tragedy that should never have occurred,” Albanese told reporters on Tuesday

When has Israel ever been held accountable?

I remember when they smart-bombed UN peacekeepers a bit less than 20 years ago, and when Finland’s foreign minister at the time had the temerity to ask how someone manages to “accidentally” smart-bomb a UN observation post with “UN” written on the roof in huge letters, Israel just called him an antisemite.

You didn’t demand accountability when you blocked UNWRA funding, you didn’t demand accountability while Israel is committing genocide, only now that one Australian life has been lost do you pretend to act.

That aid worker had to go help the people of Gaza and lost her life because you assisted in Gaza’s destruction.

    Fuck you Albo.

The news is now basically “XXXXX has said these words” and almost never “XXXXX has done these things” and the media seems perfectly ok basing entire articles off talking points.

A lot of people (including myself) criticize the arab world for not doing anything against Israel’s atrocities. We are seeing the similarities with the west now.

Is the nuclear arsenal of US/israel that huge?

Imperialism has always seemed to be insufferably indifferent everywhere it sticks its nasty little finger. To me it is so counterproductive to the long term sustainable goal of true free trade. If the only motivation for any country/business is self interest it’s a failure from the get go. But i guess if the market isn’t controlled via the bludgeon of imperialism/capitalism/all the other isms then you can’t crank out infinite profit and make the world a better place for all the shareholders.
