Tl;dr - Accounts are no longer required for ChatGPT 3.5 turbo. There are more “safeguards” on prompts/responses if you aren’t logged in.
An interesting move for sure. Seems like it’s a gambit to essentially stay relevant in the consumer AI space.
Can’t say I’m against it, honestly. It benefits them to have a wider net to collect user data, and it benefits the user to lower the barrier for entry.
