I watched it as a child so i only remember two scenes, so in one scene i remember, there are women, they are picking pearls from a bag, they cannot see which pearl they are picking - there is only one black pearl and the other pearls are white, the woman who chooses the black pearl her son is taken away from her, also it’s like there are other creatures. And i remember the last scene where the woman is walking in the street and sees a face and recognizes its her son - who is taken away from her - but she recognizes him even though he is grown now, and that’s all i remember

I haven’t seen it myself, but searching for a similar description came up with “Storm of the Century,” a TV miniseries written by Stephen King.

OMG! This is the one. Thank you so much!!! Can I ask which tools you have used to find it because I’ve searched it lots of times but wasn’t able to find it.

Glad to hear it! I did a Google search, but I tried a few different terms other than pearls, I eventually found someone else had asked a similar question on Stackexchange describing them as marbles, and it was answered with that miniseries.

It almost sounds like it could be an episode of The Storyteller from the 80s? I’m not sure which one though.

I also asked ChatGPT previously and it gave me the same answer. Unfortunately that’s not the movie I’m looking for. Thanks anyway!
