From April 12 to April 14, the theater is holding its annual 35mm Film Festival to showcase nine classic features such as “The Wizard of Oz,” “Evil Dead II,” “Rififi” and “The Naked City.”
I’ve been privileged to see a nitrate film projected. It just feels more special knowing you could burn to a crisp at any moment (jk, regulations require safety mechanisms if you’re projecting nitrate, the booth had some crazy system where fireproof door came down)
