Personally I think the character above is ugly because she looks like she’s (We’re told it’s a she; honestly looks like a 14 year old boy with 70’s hair) made out of candle wax.
If they’re going for a “realistic” style, they’re achieving GameCube era results. If they’re going with an “art style” look, they’re just outright bad at it, they’ve splashed down in the river at the bottom of the uncanny valley.
Me? I wouldn’t play this game simply because it’s got a gigacorporation-owned license. There is going to be no creativity, artistry, or vision behind it, it’s this year’s bucket of marketably familiar copyrighted stimuli designed to channel wealth from humans to shareholders. Honestly, would anyone be interested in this game if it didn’t have the branding and the sound effects library?
