    That makes quite a bit of sense for me. Intelligence is, in large part, sorting and connecting meaningful bits of info into a correct (logically sane) conclusion; however both things are affected if you’re exposed to noise, and you need to spend “processing power” elsewhere.

    Based on that, I also predict some correlation between IQ and the usage of smartphones in short bursts across the day, “just to check things out”.
