Heroes creator Tim Kring is seeking a second revival of his hit 2006 superhero series with Heroes: Eclipsed, which he is currently pitching to potential buyers, reports Deadline.

Heroes: Eclipsed will reportedly be set years after the events of the original series and feature new heroes, plus new and familiar villains. No casting information has been discussed. The outline of the series sounds similar to Kring’s previous Heroes follow-up, the 2015 limited series Heroes Reborn. It too was set years after the events of the original series and introduced a new set of characters.

I would like to see the Heroes story proceed from the end of the first season. The following seasons were destroyed by the writers strike and what we got was terrible compared to the first season. It would be cool to see a proper sequel. Unfortunately it has been 15 years, and all of the actors are middle aged now.

The first heroes was lightening in a bottle. It fizzled, in large part due to the writers strike. However, subsequent seasons and the revival being poor plus fatigue with superheroes in general and not having recognizable heroes bodes poorly.

Its not impossible that they make a good show again, but all thebthibgs that made it good back then are now fated tropes…
