Fun fact, trees move their metabolic waste to leaves before they fall, so in a way they’re tree poop
They also disassemble the chlorophyll into whatever they use to store energy as I believe the chlorophyll would otherwise start producing toxins.
This is why Australia has the highest percentage of deciduous trees in the world
