And shipping them half way across the planet before they’re burnt is worse for the environment, not better. Shipping coal to China should be laughed at, but it keeps happening.

So while I agree we need to do more, I hate these articles that pretend we’re doing all we can now. It just comes off as an excuse not to try for what we can get right now, instead of in addition to better long term strategy.
To be fair the article argues that we’re not doing enough and there are options that have proved successful in achieving greater improvements. I don’t think it implies we’re ‘doing all we can’ or that we shouldn’t try what we can.
