(Trump lawyer Alina Habba — the one who fakes smart — argued on Fox News last night that this is a denial of Trump’s “due process” rights. Needless to say, LOL no. Habba also bellyached that Trump’s lawyers won’t get Passover off, because “Observant Jews have a right to go and pray to who they want and observe Passover!” You know, whoever those Jewish people pray to. Also, the trial is off for four days of Passover, so Habba is lying.)
. . . “Forcing Trump to skip his son’s graduation is actually an act of evil. There’s simply no other word for it. It’s evil,” whined weird MAGA anal fissure Jack Posobiec, lying. “Pure evil,” hissed Trump junior, his saliva presumably collecting in his cheeks, covered in sweat. “Judge Merchan is truly heartless in not letting a father attend his son’s graduation,” said Eric, not specifying which son.
“I was looking forward to that graduation, with his mother and father there, and it looks like the judge does not allow me to escape this scam,” said Trump outside the courtroom, lying.
Every babbling pigfuck in MAGA world is screaming about this, and it simply isn’t true. Kari Lake, doing an impression of a human with a soul, tweeted, “I am heartbroken for President Trump & Barron. All the hard work our kids put into graduating, & President Trump is being robbed of getting to experience his son’s High School graduation ceremony. This corrupt judge is heartless & cruel.”
Senator Mike Lee, one of the least serious members of Congress by any metric, tweeted, “Telling Trump he can’t attend Barron’s graduation goes beyond mere jackassery. This is deliberately cruel.”
. . . MeidasTouch has a good rundown of the ticktock of the goings-on what happened in the courtoom yesterday: the tiny handful of weak and sad Laura Loomers who showed up to protest on Trump’s behalf; the beginning of jury selection; questions about what will happen to Trump when he violates his gag orders; all kinds of evidence that will and will not be allowed. (A bunch of the tapes you’d think a jury might like to hear — grab ‘em by the pussy, the E. Jean Carroll deposition, etc. — Merchan ruled too prejudicial. You know, because he’s SO UNFAIR.)
Trump apparently did not like it when he was sworn in as “MISTER Donald Trump.”
And more!
If he didn’t want it to affect his ability to attend his son’s graduation, he shouldn’t have pushed the trial date out with his delay tactics.
Or… you know… not be a criminal.
It’s a family tradition.
Trump, why do you tweet?
Trump, why are you so broke?
Why must you act like a little baby choad?
Stop and think it over
Put yourself in his unique position
If he breaks laws he’s just carrying on
An old family tradition
This plus your username👏👏
I was thinking about adding new callbacks to the first three lines but I don’t know how many people have heard the song in a bar where drunk folks are yelling stupid things after the first three lines.
Trump begged PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE can he have the day off from crime trial in May so he can attend the graduation of his beloved son what’s-his-name, no not Junior, no not Eric, the one what came out of Melania’s vagina while he was busy fucking a different porn lady he arranged payoffs for during the 2016 campaign?
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE? Merchan said that May 17 is a long way away, and we’ll see. (Likely part of it is that we’ll see if Trump conducts himself like a good criminal defendant or if he acts like a gag-order-defying, court-disrupting hellion piece of shit. That could factor.)
. . . REAL TALK: If Donald Trump could tell America five things about Barron Trump that involve personal knowledge of the child — like maybe what music he likes to listen to, or who he has a crush on, a food he craves, anything, we might just keel over from shock. He doesn’t give a flying fuck about going to that graduation, and if he didn’t have court that day, he’d spend it waddling around a golf course, lying and saying he won another tournament.
lol. Wonkette is great. Go give them money.
Is there a better example of a snowflake and sheep than Turnip Dump and his zealots?
Serious question: would any other criminal defendant have the option to delay their trial to attend a child’s graduation?
I could be convinced that this should be allowed, but if it’s not standard then there should be no exceptions made just because this is an extra special boy.
Such excuses being allowed would also be inherently discriminatory against young people.
Seniors have way more antecedents to generate excuses for them. Especially wealthier ones who are more likely to normally be able to take time off/travel for these events.
Depends on the cooperation of the defendant probably. Since Trump was dragged kicking and screaming I would think no.
IANAJ but my best guess would be “it depends” as the judge said here.
I kinda feel bad for the kid. I would absolutely hate if someone tried to use me as an excuse to get out of a huge mess of their own making. Sure, it sucks to not have your family there, but it’s not by the judge being “evil”. Trump engaged in criminal behaviour and that’s fully on him.
This might even be a good thing, now Barron can do one thing in his life without having his unscrupulous father show up and cause a disturbance.
Who will explain for me, to my wonderful son, Barron, who is a GREAT Student at a fantastic School, that his Dad will likely not be allowed to attend his Graduation Ceremony
Sure, you cheeto-dusted nutsack, I’ll break the news to Barron as soon as you tell me what school he goes to without any help.
This is a really excellent writing style.
“I was looking forward to that graduation, with his mother and father there, and it looks like the judge does not allow me to escape this scam,” he said.
Is it just me or is this some odd phrasing? Shouldn’t it be, “…with his mother and I there…” Almost sounds like he’s not the father which, to be honest, wouldn’t surprise me. Also, the judge never said he couldn’t go, so this is just one more lie from Trump.
As reported by AP, Merchan did not say Donald Trump would not be able to attend the graduation. He commented that it was too early to make a decision.
“It really depends on if we are on time and where we are in the trial,” Merchan said.
AP added that if the trial proceeded as planned, Merchan would be willing to adjourn for one or both days.
In other words, if Trump keeps his trap shut and doesn’t cause needless delays, then the judge would be willing to let him go, but what are the odds of Trump being able to do that?

Pretty good if he keeps falling asleep
Lol, yea! The trial should wait until it’s convenient for him, like with everyone who has a tri… wait a seeeeecond

Melania was given to him. Part of his mob/kgb compromat. He doesn’t have the capacity to love let alone his son.
