Getting punched in the head after being rocked/concussed is super bad, that’s pure brain damage right there. Being choked a few seconds extra I’ve never came across as causing brain damage, it’s now way near the minutes needed for that

I think he did the right thing. Getting punched once or twice more isn’t the same as the brain being denied oxygen for a few more seconds.
