because it can be if people start to treat them differently when they stop looking appealing they may don’t understand it at first and later maybe have a depression and no plan b
As soon as they start to look smug about their appearances, I berate them heavily. For about a week after, I’ll make them wear unflattering accessories, such as snake skin chaps, or a boa made entirely from raw chicken. If they ever ask why, I yell at the top of my lungs about how one day they’ll be ugly and need a plan b.
I hope this answer was at least as ridiculous as the question.
Ah, the Harrison Bergeron school of parenting.
Are you only asking people who mostly have daughters but also goodlooking sons? How many kids does a person need to fulfill this requirement?
At least 5 I guess? Seems very specific…
“I can assure you this is a completely normal question, and I am a completely normal person. I desperately need an answer from people who think their sons are good looking. Don’t bother if you think your son’s an uggo. And daughters? Well that’s okay. You can have 'em.”
I think it’s a grammar problem. They’re worried about a good looking daughter, but sons are relevant enough too.
Yes I thought so. I was just teasing

What’s the context of this question? Are you the parent, the son, a daughter, or someone else?
Don’t yourself blab to them about them being cute or whatever, and when other people do it just say a quick thanks, then ignore it and move along to another topic.
I hate that our societies are so superficial. It’s a huge advantage to look good. Its like a superpower that some people have. And it’s really unfair, because it gives them literally all the best things in life with no effort.
That being said, I think gene manipulation will allow parents to make their kid good looking in the future, so everyone will be good looking.
Rich people will have good looking kids.

Personality goes a long way
I mean, there’s sober ugly people too. And rich alcoholics. If rich kids are prettier it’s probably down to cosmetic medicine.
Unfortunately it is a part of evolution to avoid the sick, disabled and ugly. It is very hard to make millions of people work against their instincts, but I think we are generally headed in a good direction.
Build personalities from childhood onwards, so as they get older they already possess personalities instead of being vapid empty shells of humanity
It’s generally a phase, the obsession with looks. I don’t worry about it and it’s always just sort of disappeared.
