If any aerospace companies were interested in building a droneship, the list of options is growing…
SpaceX currently uses barges Marmac 302, 303, and 304 from McDonough Marine Service (photo cred)
The company has completed Marmac 305, this is 306 and the 307 is coming soon.

This kind of stuff is my jam, I would love to know about the cost of retrofitting a purchase vs. building from the keelplates up. This is a most tempting rabbit hole. It just seems like a barge from the outside.
But inside, its systems are all automated. It’s like a slightly more pedestrian looking Optimus Prime… EDIT: BAD APOSTROPHE. BAD.
