      Bro, get off the internet and touch some grass. You’re so desperate to be angry at someone that you’re not even understanding the issue.

      There’s no “deception”. The EPA has a standardised test, which is an approximation of the average American driver. Every car follows exactly the same test, so you can get a fair comparison between vehicles. If you drive in worse conditions than average (high speeds, hot temperatures) you’re going to get worse mileage than the standardised test.

      With ICE vehicles no one really measured their fuel economy, they just filled up when necessary. But with EVs, new owners are anxious about range, and it’s very easy to see what you’re getting, so people think they’ve been short-changed.
