Sweden is infamous for having some of the highest taxes in the world, and yet the country’s tax agency is still one of Sweden’s most trusted institutions.

The Swedish attitude towards tax contrasts sharply with many countries where taxes can be a deeply divisive issue. We investigate what this says about Swedish society and how the popularity of the welfare state might survive growing challenges in the future.

Tax isn’t inherently a bad thing…what politicians do with that tax money is where the bad happens…

I have zero issues paying tax, what I do have an issue with is when my tax money goes to shitty fucking companies that steal the money and tell citizens to get fucked or pay more (telecoms) or promise to do something like increase jobs, then fire everyone and add robot cashier’s and call every citizen a criminal because of their price fixing and lobbying politicians to give them MORE money. (Grocery)

So what you’re saying is, you want more oversight over all budgets and bring back money regulations for corporations. Also, we need more decent people running for offices.

And accountability from the top down. But yes, you sumed it up in a much better way.
